Built by People
Who Needed It.
Roone was created by journalists and producers who faced the exact problem their clients face today: too much work, too little time, and standards that couldn't be compromised.
Our Story
We Solved It for Ourselves First
NOTICE News—the independent progressive media company co-founded by Andrew Springer and Anthony Cifone—was doing important work. But the team was drowning in production. Daily newsletter work alone consumed hours, stealing time from the reporting and editing that actually mattered.
Andrew built a solution: custom AI automation systems that reduced newsletter production time 87%—without sacrificing the Emmy-winning editorial standards that NOTICE News is known for. Then people started asking how he did it. Roone is that answer.
The Name
Named for a Legend
Roone Arledge transformed American broadcasting. As president of both ABC Sports and ABC News, he didn't inherit powerhouses—he built them. He redefined what was possible in television by arming his teams with sharper tools, bigger ambitions, and the conviction to compete at the highest level.
He built two of the most enduring franchises in broadcast news—Nightline & 20/20—from scratch, transforming ABC News into a powerhouse.
His legacy is proof that the right infrastructure—in the right hands—lets small teams punch far above their weight. That's the spirit this company is named for, and the mission we carry forward.

Trust & Security
AI You Can Actually Trust
We know that adopting AI feels like a leap of faith. It shouldn't be. Here's exactly how Roone handles your data, who's behind the technology, and what we believe about keeping humans in the loop.
Your Data, Your Rules
We store your content to power your workflows. We never use it to train AI models—not ours, not anyone else's. What's yours stays yours.
Powered by Claude
Roone is built on Claude by Anthropic—the AI developed by one of the world's leading AI safety companies. Their models are designed from the ground up to be honest, careful, and reliable.
You Stay in Control
Every workflow Roone builds keeps your team in the driver's seat. AI drafts, suggests, and organizes. You review and decide what goes out. Nothing publishes without your approval.
White-Glove from Day One
You work directly with our founding team—not a chatbot, not a support queue. We configure your system, train your staff, and stay hands-on as your needs evolve.
Grounded in Your Sources
Roone workflows are built around your verified sources and editorial guidelines—not guesswork. We design around the risk of hallucination. Human review is built in, not bolted on.
No Hidden Boxes
We tell you exactly which AI models power your workflows, how your data is stored, and where we're headed—including our roadmap toward formal security certifications.
Built on Anthropic's Claude
Anthropic was founded with a singular focus: building AI that is safe, interpretable, and steerable. Their Claude models are designed to refuse harmful requests, flag uncertainty rather than fabricate answers, and behave predictably across complex workflows. When we chose our AI foundation, we chose the company whose mission is the technology itself—not just a product built on top of it.
